A solo exhibition of work by Hisako Kobayashi

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY—The Catskill Art Society (CAS) will present Seeds in the Heart, a solo exhibition of work by artist Hisako Kobayashi, at the CAS Arts Center, 48 Main Street, opening on Saturday, January 10. There will be an artist’s talk at 1:00 p.m. followed by an opening reception from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.

RiverFolk concerts kick off with Crookston

MILANVILLE, PA—Calkins Creek Vineyard will host a series of RiverFolk concerts, starting with a performance by Joe Crookston ( joecrookston.com ) on January 3.

Crookston is the 2008 Falcon Ridge Top 3 “Most Wanted” Artist, a 2007 Rockefeller Foundation Songwriting Grant recipient, a 2007 Mountain Stage New Song finalist, and ranked in the top 12 in do-it-yourself recording by Performing Songwriter Magazine.
